For School Districts
Comprehensive Voter Approval Assessment
Our Comprehensive Voter Approval Assessment helps develop bond proposals that pass
We partner with school districts like yours to provide the essential information necessary to pass your bond proposal, especially if a recent bond proposal did not pass.
Instead of focusing on why a previous bond request failed, our Comprehensive Voter Approval Assessment will show you exactly what your voters will support for your next bond proposal.
Every school district is different, and our customized research-driven approach will tell you which voters to target and what you need to do to increase and grow support for your bond proposal.
Choose our Comprehensive Voter Approval Assessment when you need to:
Select the best option that will pass
We evaluate multiple facility improvement options using statistically representative research and analysis. Using our data and analysis, you will be able to confidently select the best option that will pass on the next ballot.
Increase and grow support for your bond request
Our assessment will show you how to prioritize community concerns to measurably increase support for your bond proposal. We identify voters who could support your bond proposal and what you can do to gain their support.
Build stronger relationships with your community
We invite all residents to participate and share their thoughts and opinions about your district. When your board listens carefully to what your voters share, and act upon what they learn, it fosters a stronger relationship between your district and your community.
Your Comprehensive Voter Approval Assessment delivered in 4 months
When you choose our Comprehensive Voter Approval Assessment, you are choosing a proven process that moves your district forward, not focusing on what happened in the last election. We will provide you with all of the essential information and guidance you need to pass your next bond proposal.
What our clients say about us
“After having several bond proposals get defeated, we decided to focus on learning more about our community and what our voters might support. Perspectives helped us with this effort, and we ended up passing our bond in the spring of 2023. The team at Perspectives are easy to work with, and their work provided the detail our district needed to make important and strategic decisions.”
GREG EDING, LAKESHORE PUBLIC SCHOOLS
“Perspectives’ ability to create an assessment that got at the key issues we needed input on was second to none. With their analysis and guidance, we were able to pass a bond for a new football stadium, which had failed twice previously.”
MARK BIELANG, PORTAGE PUBLIC SCHOOLS

We know you are wondering …
-
It takes approximately four months to complete our Comprehensive Voter Approval Assessment. The time required depends on how long it takes your district to identify and determine the specific facility improvement options you would like to test with your voters.
-
No, the focus of the assessment is determining what voters will support, not why they did not support a previous bond request. Instead of telling you that your voters thought the previous bond request was too expensive, the Comprehensive Voter Approval Assessment will tell you how much your voters are willing to pay for facility improvements you are considering.
-
We require districts to post the research reports we prepare as a part of the assessment. This helps your district build and strengthen your relationship with your voters because your voters can see that the board has received their concerns and input. The Comprehensive Voter Approval Assessment document is for board and administration use and is not made public.
-
There are two ways we can measure the accuracy of the assessment. First, 92% of all districts pass their next bond request using the results of our Comprehensive Voter Approval Assessment. Second, the level of support we forecast in the Comprehensive Voter Approval Assessment is within about 4% of the actual election results. Typically, the election results are better than what we forecast, which we attribute to districts using the analysis and results of their Comprehensive Voter Approval Assessment to grow and increase support for their bond proposal.
-
In order to maximize the number of voters who complete the assessment research, we work hard to minimize your voter’s time required to participate. Typically, we will have enough time to allow one or two questions about other topics.
-
The cost of an assessment depends on several factors including; the number of people who live in your district, the number of facility improvement options you will want assessed, and how far your district is from our office. Comprehensive Voter Approval Assessments start at $28,500.

Why a Comprehensive Voter Approval Assessment? Because it tells you what your voters will support.

Our Comprehensive Voter Approval Assessment is not just another survey. It is a proven process that builds relationships with your voters, evaluates support for multiple facility improvement options, and identifies voters to target to grow and increase support.
An investment that pays off. Our Comprehensive Voter Approval Assessment will allow you to pass your next bond request, so critical facility improvements are not delayed, construction costs don’t continue to escalate, and you do not have to pay the cost of another failed election.
